GIVING INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS

A VOICE!

The Oklahoma Independent Provider Association

About Us

Joining the OKIPA does not mean you are losing your independence. Our association does, however, offer you the benefit of being part of a larger group, primarily for the purpose of reducing overhead and increasing revenue by joining with other independent providers to pursue business ventures. All programs within the IPA are a la carte so you get to choose what best fits your needs.

The Oklahoma Independent Provider Association (OKIPA) is a statewide association of independent healthcare providers united to protect and advance independent practice in Oklahoma. Joining OKIPA means gaining the collective strength of over 1,600 providers behind you, amplifying your voice in legislation, safeguards, and resources. All programs are à la carte, so you choose programs and resources that align with your specific practice needs.

OKIPA at a glance

Our Three Objectives

OKIPA exists to strengthen independent healthcare in Oklahoma—by expanding revenue options, lowering overhead, and giving providers a unified voice in policy and advocacy.

Objectives
  1. 1

    Increase Revenue

OKIPA vets and connects members to revenue opportunities, including ACO/CIN participation, Medicare Advantage arrangements, group purchasing, and other business ventures that individual practices couldn’t access alone.

  2. 2

    Decrease Expenses

Through group purchasing power and vetted preferred vendor relationships—covering medical billing, credentialing, healthcare IT, banking, real estate, and more—members reduce overhead without sacrificing quality.

  3. 3

    Advocate for Independent Providers

OKIPA serves as both an association and a lobbying organization. Membership dues fund our legislative efforts, and our team actively engages lawmakers and stakeholders on behalf of independent providers across all healthcare sectors in Oklahoma.

Membership Includes
  • Access to vetted Preferred Partners and vendor discounts
  • Legislative lobbying on your behalf
  • Member Portal
  • Workshops, seminars, and educational events
  • Privacy protection — OKIPA's LLC structure keeps all members confidential from the public
Purpose

Mission & Vision

OKIPA is built to protect independent practice and strengthen the ability of providers to compete, negotiate, and thrive.

Mission

Keeping providers independent.

We support Oklahoma’s independent providers with practical resources, aligned partnerships, and advocacy—so they can remain autonomous while delivering outstanding care.

Vision

A level playing field for doctors and providers with health plans, health systems, and health policies through advocacy.

We envision a healthcare environment where independent providers can negotiate fairly, compete transparently, and shape policy—so patient care is guided by clinicians, not consolidation.

Why Us

BUILT FOR INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS

When providers give up their independence, we believe that health care costs go up, quality goes down, access to care is limited, jobs are lost, communities suffer, providers feel less satisfied, and everybody pays…Our association is changing that.

OKIPA is an association of more than 1000 health care providers within the state of Oklahoma who are banding together to give a voice to independent providers, pursue revenue opportunities, and take advantage of economies of scale.

The need for an Independent Physician Association in Oklahoma can not be overstated. As a healthcare provider, I am deeply committed to the health of those I am privileged to provide , . However, the increasing administrative burdens are overwhelming. An IPA would streamline our operations, allowing us to focus more on direct patient care rather than paperwork. Moreover, it would foster collaboration among provider, enhancing the overall quality of healthcare in our communities.
